Tomorrow's forecast is for warm temperatures and sunny skies. The breeze is forecasted to pick up as the day goes on, but certainly manageable--like many flying days, the earlier you go the better the conditions. So the 2nd annual EAA Chapter 36 flying Poker Run is a "Go!"
Key Notes/Reminders:
- Start / Finish at Hagerstown Regional Airport
*** Rider Jet Center is offering FS fuel at the SS price for Poker Run participants ***
- Registration will take place inside the FBO, Rider Jet Center ... you know, the place with the good restaurant and the TVs in the men's bathroom.
- Event begins at 8:00 am, but you may arrive and start later in the morning or early afternoon if you like as long as you return to HGR with completed poker sheets No Later Than 4:00 pm.
- Poker Hands = $5/hand CASH (may purchase unlimited hands)
- Complimentary Raffle Ticket for each poker hand purchased up to 12:00 pm
- Raffle Prize drawings will take place after 12:00 pm, if you won a raffled prize and you turn in your sheets after 12:30 pm you can take your prize(s) with you
- Must visit at least 5 airports, best five cards from your hand used if you visit 6 or all 7 airports
- Route may be flown in any direction, any order
- Airports: HGR, MRB, FDK, DMW, THV, W05, N68
- Information sheets about airports along the route available for each plane at registration
- Check NOTAMs, get a briefing, and avoid FDK if you don't have ADS-B (be careful at DMW on the edge of the Mode C Veil)
- POTUS is scheduled to be in DE this weekend, so P-40 and overlying Restricted Area "should" be limited to its smaller size (this is not an official briefing)

- Again, take your time ... no "Get There-itis"
- Each card goes back into the pile to be re-shuffled/drawn for subsequent poker hands and players. Do not keep any cards.
- Those playing multiple hands, the hand being played must be decided prior to drawing a card. You shall not draw a card and choose which hand to apply it to.
- Several chapter members will review all score sheets to confirm winning hands ... prizes for winning hands will be mailed unless local and other options are available. Winners will be contacted to approve the mailing address.
