Went duck hunting this weekend. I think I need to hit the trap range, but I did hit a few...

yummy!

Awesome! I roasted up a duck last night and am going to use the leftovers for curry. Unfortunately, the only ducks I get are frozen. Feel free to send a few my way. :)

Mmmm Love duck nice and crispy with an orange or berry sauce. Tastes awesome. How did you prepare it Pete?

Apple, Onion, Rosemary, and Clove stuffing. Roast for about 25 minutes at 425F, and then make a sauce with sherry and cream.

Wild duck is best on the rare side, and it's MUCH leaner than farm duck.

Best of all I didn't bite into any pellets :)

Actually I like skeet better anyway. Thanks for the reminder :)

[stir pot] Besides, skeet is so much easier [/stir pot]

back when I shot trap regularly, I shot 97-98% ... then about 5 years ago I shot sporting clays ... humbling but fun.

I still shoot sporting clays...'splains my inferiority complex...

Very nice.

I'm having to settle for Tuscan food tonight... with a nice bottle of Barolo.
