Yet another first-world problem “solved”:

We use 1-gal jugs and some other containers for RO water, etc. on trips. Left on a dish rack after use, it can take days for them to dry out enough to close back up for storage.

A cream cheese tub, some vinyl tubing, and a 40mm muffin fan from Amazon made a great little dryer:

The fans come in 5v with a USB plug on the end, which is the most practical these days, but 12v ones are also available.

This would also be good for ski boots and gloves.

A little bit of air going a few hours or all night long if needed does a surprisingly good job drying.

Handful of rice and 30 seconds in the microwave?

Oh yes, you know the muffin fan.
Every day a guy from LaSures catering in Oshkosh drops off a tray of muffins for us in Vintage Ops... he's the muffin man!

I've done something similar the lazier way...an aquarium pump.

But muffin fan would be better in a couple of ways. Cheaper, quieter, and more than one thing at a time.

Or move here to the high desert where 5% humidity dries out anything in minutes...
