Hello fellow aviators, I own a C-172 With a 180hp Lycoming and CS prop. The wheel pants have never been installed. Are there any numbers that show the efficiency one would expect in airspeed and fuel savings with the pants installed?
Thank you in advance.

Experience says about 3-5 MPH increases in airspeed. guesses on fuel costs vary on power settings.

Check in the POH/"owner's manual" maybe? In the speed or endurance charts, there's sometimes a note, such as the one in the Archer manual I just read yesterday: "These numbers apply for airplanes with wheel pants. On planes without them, expect about a 3 knot decrease in speed, etc".
