I had a couple of threads open in tabs that I didn't get to reading the other day when I opened them, and now I can't even "Like" any posts because it says "the requested thread cannot be found." Sure enough, if I refresh, there's no such thread.

I think they may have all been started by @wannabepilot123 - Was that a troll/bot? Or why did the threads get disappeared? There was actually some useful/interesting information, such as @Ed Haywood's data about aerobatic vs. non-aerobatic accidents.

That one is in EHP status and, as discussed earlier, us minions have no way of knowing whether this is a time out or a thrown out ... ;)

Keeping a forum tidy is thankless work. Somebody buy that guy a beer.

I don't see anything untoward about EdHayward. WannabePilot and some accounts that appear to be clones of his had multiple violations and allegations of passing personal information of people who weren't forum participants. The accounts have been banned and the sensitive information removed.

@flyingron, in this post

, @flyingcheesehead was referring to these data:

www.pilotsofamerica.com/community/threads/how-safe-are-aerobatics.151260/#post-3628438

, which got thrown out with the bathwater but have now been restored.

IFR Training thread is gone now too.

Hmmmm. Maybe someone could write a new OP for the thread and the rest could be spliced back on? It was an interesting discussion about what can and can't be done as a sport pilot, and worth having accessible IMO.

It seems accounts get banned for absolutley no reason. Why is this?

They aren't banned for no reason. We just don't publicize the reasons to others. If you have a question about an action taken against your account you can contact any MC member via the site conversation feature, or if you can no longer log in, you can send email to support@ the site name.

We don’t ban for no reason. We’re all pretty decent investigators and can sniff out a troll or previously banned user when we see one. ;)

I’ve found that to not be completely accurate
