Could have driven the car under him, though he wouldn't have been much impressed. 13 feet tall at the shoulder, 13,000 pounds. In Kruger National Park, South Africa. You never, ever see elephants that size in any circus. The white pickup just beyond him is a full-size half-ton.

Fabulous place, isn't it? My wife and I were there in October 2005. I love the attitude showing in the attached picture.
