I was wondering how in the heck she could amass enough PIC helicopter time to qualify for that job. But buried in the article it says she is a copilot.

That is not to diminish her accomplishment in any way. I think it is great, I just don’t like misleading news articles.

To quote my old squadronmate and veteran of the airline pilot industry: "Flight attendants make bad mothers...". :eek::eek::eek:

As long as she didn't get her position via the "GG" route, good on her.

She gave it two weeks and I'm in nooooooo hurry for grand kids.
 
The article says:
Hansen’s end goal is to become a “PIC,” or a pilot in charge. Essentially, it’s the rank of captain.

So when I am flying around in the the 172 am I "in charge" or "in command" ? [ asking for a friend ]
 
Good on her! What she's accomplished so far at such a young age is fantastic!
