Damage and FAR

[DaytonaLynn]

Plane comes back from a flight
1.left under side of elevator has damage
2.left wing has leading edge damage.
What FAR defines air unworthiness damage. I have been looking and so far drawing a blank.

There's also the issue of whether or not this requires reporting to the NTSB as an accident or incident. See NTSB Part 830 for details. Go to the official CFR web site, and search under Title 49, Part 830.
