Yesterday we got to see a plane my grandfather flew in the 40’s. We hope to see another next month.

Last minute Lifeline flight to John Tune this morning. Lots of beautiful cloud viewing and a couple instrument approaches. My first time to JWN, man that place is busy, especially for how small it is. Probably the most GA traffic I've seen at an airport, about half piston and half turbine.

Jim, at what altitude was this photo taken? I ask because a friend lost his life just south of Franklin in a BE 35 at 1:00 pm cst today. Track appears that he initiated a climb from 7000’ to 9000’ then all went to hell and the aircraft suffered an inflight break-up. Looks like a small TS was building at his location and perhaps he tried to top it unsuccessfully. Reportedly he, and two passengers, were enroute to KLOU. :(

Damn, sorry to hear that. That photo was at 9000. We came back north at 6000, departing about noon. Weather was pretty benign at that time. There was some nasty stuff to the east, but it was a ways away and moving that direction.

Where did you go? Tried Lorraine's a while back, but I think the crabcakes at 3W3 are better.
Lorraine's is now the only show in town, outside the "Four Brother's" which is take-away and outside dining only. 3W3 ALWAYS a fun place to land and stroll down to the Kentmor Crab House!

We have 60 volunteers going down to Tangier Island in June to live there for a week and help the older folks rebuild their homes...should be a good mission. Been doing this since 2015 with a group of pilots and others...

So, a few more of the FSK bridge on the way home....still a mess but getting better day by day.

Successful day trip to Key West today from Naples. Managed to get back to Naples tonight just in time to get to the beach for the end of the sunset!!!

Remote away from home oil change on the Naples ramp. Didn’t do very good on the timing of this 50 hour interval not being at home.

For all my SC family. One thing I love is a little sightseeing over Lake Murray and my home stomping ground in Camden - the Carolina Cup track. Nothing like thousands of people drinking, dressed to the nines, and fine china. All to watch NASCAR on four legs.

What a day. Feel like I was the energizer bunny.
8 am departure to GYY.
Back home by noon from GYY.
Hop on the plane to get to M34 by 2.
Take the boat out on the lake.
Took the family out to dinner at 6. ok it was McDonald's take out but we got to see planes on the ramp.
Back in the cockpit at 630 heading home.
Pretty solid IMC time building.

Navigating through some weather to get to Guntersville, Alabama and dinner in Nashville, TN.
Very interesting flight to get around BNA on my way to JWN. Got an amended route 20 miles out and got an actual STAR to get to JWN.
