But it’s at an airport, so no ‘NA’
...and it's not a bottle, so you can still fly home.
1800NM day today running all over the country from a wedding in St Louis then to Dallas, then Page and eventually home to NorCal...
Way cool! Lucky dog you...!
Another airplane/non airplane. Video this time... Rolls Royce engine....
Checked Marion, IL off my list today with an ILS breaking out at 300 AGL. That's by far the lowest approach I've shot, and it was really cool breaking out and seeing the runway that close.
It still takes my breath away every time I pop out on top.
Dodging the fluffy stuff at 8k earlier this week, deviating around the big stuff. ATC asks if I want 6k... “no! Texas is too bumpy down low!” Haha
Big stuff back there...
Flying over Austin (KAUS)
Illinois / Iowa countryside.
Shot the RNAV 11 into Olney this morning for airplane-shaped pancakes. 400 foot ceilings and a couple RV's arrived VFR right ahead of me
Bogus Basin Recreation Area
Just did the tour... was blowing like 30 kts on the flight deck and I couldn’t help but think - I could land the Arrow on this...
Had to go to Springfield to renew my pesticide applicator license. 2 hour drive vs 30min flight... no brainer (and it's deductible!). Fun flight popping through the baby CB's.
Does that license include chemtrail application?
So, when at a party and someone ask you what you do for work, do you tell them you are a hired killer.??
Its funny now I think about it. I have a private pesticide license, so I can't apply pesticides for hire, only my own crops. Wonder where they got that idea. There's also "ratings" for aquaculture, arborculture, aerial application, etc.
I used to do all my own spraying, but I really hated it and it takes a lot of time, so I've been hiring it done the last year or so. Just sold my big 90' sprayer this spring, but I still need the license to do granular insecticide with the planter, and the little touch ups with the ATV sprayer.
Noodling around western Arizona yesterday ...
I guess this would be a reason to get instrument rated... Cool pic taken off of FB.
Wish I'd taken it....
Had to wait out some storms but was rewarded with a new airframe for the logbook and a nice sunset.

I was cruising down the river at 500' before turning right at the river mouth to go down the coast and saw this banner plane so I circled around behind him. Didn't want to get too close without talking him so I climbed a bit to give him room in case he turned toward me.
Doing my second oil change, figured I had better check the plugs. Glad I did. I feel like the last annual done by the previous owner may have been a little lax. They all failed except the bottom left which was the only champion.
I was pleased with the color and cleanliness. I think that means I'm operating the engine in a reasonable manner.
Power plant - i think thats the one in Bartow County, GA
9500 over Andover, NJ.
They all failed….what? ohms test, gap, bomb test?
They all entered the erosion gauge, even before gapping.
I feel like a dirty pig. uh, I feel like a filthy cheating bastid...........

Got the IO-540 buttoned up and back in the air today. Last job was to play with my new toy tool. Exhaust valves look good.
