I was more nervous about sending my first student solo than I was on my first solo.

I can understand that! I am on my 7th or 8th solo'd student now over a few years. Getting easier but I still get anxious and apprehensive. But this guy was ready two flights ago. Just could not do it cause of winds.

Congrats! Hopefully going to send my fourth student for his solo sometime this week. 4 students in 4 months as a CFI for me!

How does it feel to send a student away and stand there on the taxiway, taking pictures and videotaping (in case the NTSB needs it :D )?

the words apprehensive, nervous and hopeful come to mind. :)

And I do video tape my students so I do watch what I say. :) So far, nothing has gone wrong on any video!
