Does anyone have info or a source listing the cubic feet of the interior of popular four place aircraft such as C172/182, PA28's, and such?

Use ping pong balls to increase the humor factor. And either will give you flotation!

I did a rough calculate on the baggage area once but not the entire cabin. I am pretty sure I still have it in a file somewhere and could dig it up if you want.

Unless you are loading packing peanuts or ping pong balls your problem may not be the cube but the access through the doors past the seats or through the cargo door.
