I knew those dinosaurs were a lie! But being a Southern Baptist, we do honestly have plenty of people in my church who believe that.

No, I agree contrails can and do create a cloud layer, and clouds affect weather. Steingar's statement was so obvious, it was comical. Hence the video clip.

Oops, wrong thread.

But along those lines, I was sitting in a restaurant lobby listening to some old guy rant over contrails a few years ago.

"Yeah, the Air Force keeps seeding the skies with chem trails. I heard it on Coast to Coast the other night, looked up at the sky the next day, and by golly they were right! Criss crossing the air leaving those tracks!"

"You know commercial passenger jets leave water vapor tracks too right? They don't spread chemicals."

"Ok so how do you explain those airplanes criss crossing the air in the same place every day?" Points up in the sky out the window.

Sac Arrow walks out the the car and grabs a sectional. "Mmmm, maybe that's a navigational intersection? Like.... This?"

Old guy studies the sectional for a bit. Sac Arrow explains VORs, airways and intersections. "Oh. Hmmmm. Okay."

Now now, many of us who are Christians are quite happy to believe in the existence of dinosaurs. AND that the earth is young.

Yes; a few of my friends explain that their bones were put there by God to test us though. I won't go that far.
 
And, don't get me going on "organic" fruits and vegetables!

What a boon to retailers. We have the liberal hordes flocking to expensive, tasteless, shriveled, bacteria clad produce.
 
Hehe. Yeah, that God is one tricky dude. All the evidence indicating that the earth is 4.6 billion years old just to fool us.
 
Another is "Naturally fat-free". Yeah, but there's a ton of sugar in these foods (Fluff and Skittles for example) and all that sugar "naturally" gets turned into fat by your body. Naw man, skittles are healthy Cuz they're fruit and stuff.
 
Hemlock is natural too. So is poison ivy, rattlesnake venom, etc. I don't see why people think that means anything.

Also, back when I was in school and in science classes, a chemistry teacher told me that organic meant something that has carbon atoms in it. If that's the case then isn't gasoline just as organic as a free range apple?
 
I think it has to be a hydrocarbon of some type, but yeah, that's all organic means. The public has once again been hoodwinked by the marketing professionals.
