I ran across the following while looking for something else.

There was a recent discussion about whether it is acceptable to continue flying through an annual inspection with deferred U/S equipment. This should help those wondering. Just came out last year.

Short answer - yes it is ok, as long as the deferred equipment is re-inspected at the annual.

Fortunately all my customers maintain their aircraft way above that level of maintenance.

So Tom, none of your customers have an old LORAN receiver that they didn’t see the need to pay the avionics shop $100 to remove? Or a second radio that they didn’t have the money to hook up to an OBS head? Must be nice to have such rich customers.

    Oh hell no.

You don't need to be rich to be my customer, but it helps.
