A friend has a '74 model that I've flown in quite a bit. Plenty of cabin space and quite comfortable. We traveled together to the Commander flyins at Daniel Field & Jekyll Is. Last trip with him was to Sun-n-Fun. It was down for a while for a rebuild after a bad lobe was discovered on the cam.

It's back up and flying over the Tennessee mountains these days. I really love the look of these airplanes. This one is beautiful!

I hear you about the hours flown..... I'm in a similar situation. Beautiful plane, best of luck with the sale.

Gary

Is that trailing link landing gear? sweeeeet.

You could consider taking on a partner. That helps a lot if you’re not flying the hours.

Tell me more about the 2100 lbs. gross Commander. This is news to me ...
I don't know anything specific about the model, but the difference is in the POH. It's not the only situation in which two very similar aircraft have different MOSAIC results. I'm using a DA40 as an example in my MOSAIC presentation next month. Same situation as the Commander. My flying club has two; one may be flow by a sport pilot under MOSAIC; the other not.

The reason I asked is that I cannot find any model of Commander with a gross that low. If one fits under MOSAIC it would be news to me.

Understood. I don't know the model; definitely not well enough to know what's actually out there in the market.

Looking at the chart again, it might not be two different models; just different stall speeds based on actual gross weight rather than max.

Are you thinking of the Aero Commander 100, which is a high wing?

Lowered Price

My bride and I are in the process purchasing our winter get-away home in Estero FL. I'm actually meeting the inspection company this morning. We sat and talked about dropping the price on our Commander and have decided to lower our price to 85k.

What a beautiful bird! I've always liked Commanders and think they hit a sweet spot in features. Want to trade for a 1965 M20C? :)

Just kidding! Hope she sells soon for you.
