Don’t atc have to have a medical that would include a color blindness test?

I was flying in the show this week and one of the controllers kept calling my plane “blue and yellow”, even when I was only 50 feet away from him. My plane is very green, not blue.

I was arriving at Oshkosh one time and they called me a blue tomahawk. WTF? What part of my Navion looks like a Tomahawk to you?
 
SnF controller called the Warrior a Malibu. Too bad I can't upgrade in real-life just as easily.
 
Maybe you were going so fast it just looked like a blurrrrrrrr

Reminds me of a story i read in a biker magazine years ago. Titled Electraglide in Red, where a guy pulls in to a bar, and the other patrons give him the business about riding a pink motorcycle. After he stacks them all up like so much cord wood, he says, "I must be colorblind, I thought the durn thing was red".
