I don't wear sandals, and laugh at (mostly Yankee) tourists wearing sandals with socks, as well as dress shoes and dark socks with shorts . . . . .

But I also have no sympathy for someone with mostly bare feet complaining of their feet being cold . . . .

Come to think of it, when I wear shoes of any kind without socks, my feet generally get very hot and sweaty. So the OP should just trade those kludgy sandals for shoes and skip the socks.

Had a guy wearing sandals try to push a Seneca up a slight incline on grass. Didn't work out too well. Had to ask for help.

Students should be taught from day one to dress as though they will have to land somewhere in the boonies and walk home.

Seriously, department stores in CO display Birkenstocks w/ a pair of wool socks. It’s a thing.

This thread made me laugh because I'm wearing socks with sandals now. And I wear them in public.
