Cirrus introduces the TRAC10

I did not see any info that they are going to sell this to individual, as a personal plane. Why not?

I hope it's a big success.

I started flying lessons in the late 1970s. The aircraft I trained in were built in the 1970s, and were current technology, and I was happy to learn in them. If the trainers were all tube and fabric, say like a Piper Colt, I'm pretty sure 20 year old me wouldn't have continued.

It sounds like it's intended for the internal marking in China. To sell it in the US, they'd have to go through the entire certification process (admittedly easier under MOSAIC) and may not believe there's that much of a market.

I have to agree on the limited market. A basic “new” 172 is in the same half million ish price range. I would think a flight school would consider any of the more economical options regardless of and perceived value of the brand.

Piper sold approx 200 Pilot 100i's from 2020-2024. That's a certified aircraft at a price of $300K with an IO-360. Hard to see how a Cirri at 500K does better.
