I wonder if he had the BRS removed.

If you look up the tail number, it dead-sticked into a golf course without popping the chute after the engine quit (didn't shift tanks).
 
Hope it still has the chute for high mountain roads.

I looked that up too. Funny he left the original tail number!
 
Does that count toward the number of Cirrus airframes put back in service?
 
Cool! My wife showed me a picture one of her friends had of the car driving down the interstate. I couldn't find any more info on it (other than the plane crash info).

Side note, how weird would it be to see your old crashed plane driving down the road.
