Hello All,
My A&P and I have re-rigged my rudder following the SM but we have run into an issue.
When we go to put the Trim Actuator back in it's bracket, we are supposed to attach it to the pedals first and then reinsert the cotter pin at the end of the bracket. The problem is that, even with the bushing screwed all the way in, the cotter pin hole is still 3/8 of an inch outward from the hole in the bracket. Is there some way to adjust the actuator so that it can be inserted with no pressure on the spring as the SM indicates?
We are stumped.
TIA for any helpful suggestions!
