The fuel gauge for the right side main tank on my 1965 Cessna 310J suddenly stopped working. The needle is pegged at full (actually past the F mark and I believe all the way to the top of the possible travel arc). This aircraft is new to me so still learning the ins and outs of the aircraft.

My A&P can't get to it until next week. Hoping to do some troubleshooting in the meantime. If nothing else then at least narrow it down so he doesn't need to spend as much time on it.

main tank??? Fill it or you're grounded.

I am aware of that.

Did you get your issue resolved? Interested in what the problem was...

Defective fuel gauge. Replaced it with a known good gauge and it's all good.

Me too! I was pretty sure it was going to be some complicated (expensive) fix. Nice to have it go the other way once in a while.
