Nick was a really good guy. I did not know him well, but know many folks who did. He was a young father with a young family and a damn good pilot.

Maybe, maybe not. Plane went down it seems on take off. The weather could have been just fine where they attempted to depart, but the adverse weather could have been at and/or between the rescuers and the crash site.
