My brother in law in Nevada is in his last few months of life thanks to lung cancer and COPD. Yes he was a heavy smoker. No he had no real choice in smoking, he is a schizophrenic and they smoke to self medicate. So no high horse, narcissistic personality disorder comments please. If you want to be a self righteous ass, do it in another thread. I hear there is a good one on tattoos running right now.
Anyways on to the humorous part of the post.....
Over the weekend while having a little pizza for for lunch, out of the blue he says "my one regret is never trying Chicago style pizza."
You see he was always a thin crust pizza loving guy and now as he approaches his end of life he knows that the one great pizza is Chicago style pizza.
BTW may we all face the end of our lives with such grace that when it comes to regrets it is only something as trivial as a slice of pizza. For all the problems this sweet man has faced with his horrible disease. Make no mistake schizophrenia is horrible! He holds no bitterness, no sense of what could have been, he is accepting what is and was.
