If anyone is interested, we're having our NorCal fly in at Columbia next month. Usually have a couple dozen canards of various designs and power plants. Dick Rutan has come, Mike Melville has come, Dave Roneberg, designer of the Berkut usually comes. We fly in on Friday and Saturday from as far away as Colorado and Washington. A couple from Texas. We have a prepaid dinner and seminars later Saturday and there is camping on the field for $8 with nice hot showers. I'll post the flyer....

Would I get my a** kicked if I flew in with a Velocity?:D

Oh, sometimes the Vari, Long and Cozy guys can get pretty vocal about their design vs Velocity.

We usually have 2-3 Velocities! Some old friends fly them in from Livermore and Fallon and elswhere. Any non-canard plane is cool just park on the edges of the group not in the middle.....! We expect a couple RVs and sometimes a Sonex. Some twin wings like Quickies, Dick Rutan flies either his Berkut or a Columbia, when he shows up.
What this is good for is those with interest. Some multiple builders come, a couple Rutan Engineers, other builders, buyers, etc. so most your questions can be answered.

I flew in to Half Moon Bay once when you guys showed up. A couple times, actually. I forget who I talked to that was part of the group.
