I am looking to buy a plane, mostly looking at planes that are flying.

I found one that was disassembled for shipping and stored for years. Its an experimental, and I would like to do my own maintenance and repair work on it once its flying, but it will need a condition inspection, I do not have a space to reassemble it, and I do not feel confident enough in my aircraft maintenance ability to bring a plane out of storage alone.

I am looking for a good A&P who may be willing to take on such a project, and would have the patience to guide me through it (I understand that this takes time, and is a different skill from fixing planes, as such I am willing to pay extra for it).

Can anyone suggest an A&P within 2 hours drive from Vegas whom would be a good fit for a project like this?

The wings, tail feathers and prop were removed for shipping/storage (according to the seller, but it’s an estate). But it all appears to be there.

FWIW: You may be better served by contacting your local EAA chapter and inquire if anyone there has Kitfox experience that could help you. Or post on the Homebuilders forum here looking for Kitfox input. It may be a bit tough to find an A&P willing to tackle a project like this.

I plan to bring it up at the next meeting, but I'm putting it out here to see if POA has any suggestions.

If that's all it is, then one dayish. If.

Drywall hoist is handy for attaching wings without help.

Warning: This is my video so you won't want to click on it (not a Kitfox but similar in size...)

Run thru Trent Palmer’s videos and find the one about doing the condition inspection and tail structure repair on his airplane recently. The guy he’s using is a Kitfox specialist if I remember correctly and might be based out of Vegas.
