She was just so good. Her timing was perfect. She could pretty much carry a show. And so sharp. She was on Letterman once or twice, and she could respond back to Dave and just stump him. Dave was a pretty quick wit on that show, but he could not keep up with Betty.

I got the willies when I started seeing "Happy birthday, Betty" posts. When someone is that old, it's really day-to-day, and I was hoping they weren't jinxing her. They jinxed her. But, hey, we had her for almost 100 years, and we are the better for it.
