Building Runway predicament - dogleg or steep slope

As I grew up in a small farm town, I remember that farmers could come to the local Farm Service facility and get as much Ammonia Nitrate (it is a fertilizer after all) as they needed at a self serve station. They just wrote down what they took and got the bill later.

That was a while ago (45 years).

OK, decided on steep slope.. 4 % for 1000 ft then about level for 800 feet, then 400 ft until trees on high end. On low end 500 ft to trees..

I don't know the slopes, but 0W3 used to have a grass N-S runway that went uphill to the center from both ends. Probably 20 foot or so elevation change.

They did a LOT of filling to put in the current paved 01/19. But from the road, you can see how much fill it took from the original grade to be basically flat.

Got a marked up google earth or drone picture to share ?
