I think the R model might have come close, but the production run was very short. But it would be fun to incorporate the best features of all of them into a single design. 210 cockpit roominess, visibility and shade, Bo cowl design and bag doors, Toga aft cabin dimensions, etc.

yeah, when cessna restarted production, i thought for sure someone there during the last 30 years might have noticed the features of the cowlings made across town.

R's sure are pricey...

And harder/more expensive to get parts for, at least the P210Rs. The only guy I knew with one dumped it for one a bit older after a couple of annuals.

Considering the size of the market and the general level of dissatisfaction among owners, I'm surprised that nobody has developed and STC'd a better mousetrap.
