Too funny! Even better than the one where a bird flies down towards a parked car and is nailed as the hood pops open. Too big to post and sorry, I don't have a link. I love the stuff they get away with in their commercials.:D

I have several more commercials that aired in Europe. These are "clean" by comparison....

ha ha! I saw this one before actually. cute.

funny isn't it how Europe has always been a step ahead on stuff like this, even when I was a kid I remember going over there and being shocked at nudity in commercials and adverts (because I had never seen them here) - and you don't hear people wailing about the decline in moral values over there, like here. Janet Jackson? wouldn't have raised an eyebrow.

did you ever see the ad for the Ford Ka? "the evil twin" or something like that? that would never air here.

It's called Bird Gone

Warning to cat lovers: If you think Bird Gone was bad for birds, you really do DO NOT want to watch Cat Gone.

Step ahead? I'm sure you are aware that not everyone views the depravity of the Europeans as being "ahead" of us.

I have to say - I love nudity. In all fashions (except men...in any fashion :)) but I agree wholeheartedly. I see no reason for nudity to be publically accepted, or displayed. Children don't need to see it, and fwiw, there are times when I don't want to see it either.

I say nudity is perfect for the bedroom and the bathroom. Beyond that - it belongs on video tapes available to adults only.

but it's not porn - it's just nudity.

friends of mine in Germany have some hair raising stories. apparently the Germans really don't have a problem with nudity in public - as in say, swimming. a friend of theirs, also American, went on a job interview (she is a scientist - PhD) and was invited to go to the company picnic afterwards. they were skinny dipping. all of them - even the interviewers. she declined to go into the water.

another friend of theirs was dating a German girl, the day to meet the parents was nigh, he met them at a lake to have a picnic - again - skinny dipping. they were already READY TO GO when he got there as a matter of fact.

eeep. not for me.

Like I said in chat, public nudity is overrated. That would mean I could run around nakey, and no one wants that!! The men would all be jealous, and the women swooning everywhere... it gets to be be tiresome after a while. :D

Nothing makes the human body seem more naked than when it's wearing the right clothes.

Back when my wife was in law school, she had a Tshirt that said "underneath my clothes I'm completely naked" and for some reason that was quite titillating to several of her male classmates.

why do you seem MORE naked when all you are wearing is a pair of socks?
I think this is a theory that must be tested. ;)

Please provide pictures of yourself (via PM will suffice) in both full nudity and clothed only in socks. :D

I promise I won't sell them unless I can get some money for them.

There is something ridiculous about the American obsession with nudity..or the lack of. Kind of silly. I mean, what about all those nudes in early Christian art work?

What about nude beaches?

I was flying low (but legal) over the coast of Cape Cod a few years ago when I saw a volleyball game going on. "Hey, must be a team or something - they're all wearing the same color bathing suits. Ohhhh, wait a sec - no they aren't - they aren't wearing ANY bathing suits! Ohhhhhhhhhhh - that's my PARENTS' beach!" I don't fly over there any more! Not that I'm opposed to nude beaches - just my parents' nude beach...

Remember many American families originated in Europe. They founded this nation for religious freedom (at least the ones that are credited with founding the nation). The most outspoken religious groups in this country at present seek to require that all citizens conform to their views of public nudity. The method of doing so is to use the "least common denominator" theory, or most restrictive code, to create the public environment in which everyone must live.

The (in)famous "Speak English?" (I think it's dutch) is probably the best ever.

For those who have not seen this masterpiece, an older couple and two young girls get in a car. Turn on radio, and a song with the lyrics "I want to <sexual action> you in your <posterior region>" to a catchy beat, over and over again. The whole family bounces back and forth, like it is some cute song. Really drives home the point.

Cheers,

-Andrew
