I wouldn't be surprised it it was hoses or connectors in the wing root area leaking and not the bladder itself.

That was my guess too, but it was the bladder itself. Small and intermittent leak. Listen to your airplane...

That is a modification to pull wrinkles out of the bladder. The wrinkles can trap enough water to overwhelm the fuel strainer once the airplane is in flight. That mod moves the drain valve and bladder drain nipple inboard 3/8" and aft 1/8" to pull the bottom of the bladder tighter.
