I have using the ASA Oral test prep guide for over 30 years. Was going through the lastest version and it occurs to me it is twice as thick as it has gotten a lot more wordy on a lot of the answers making it harder to figure out what the "short answer" is. I thought it was wordy enough when I used it for my private.

What other oral test preps guides are you using, that work well or better than ASA?

Thank You

While nothing beats just knowing the material, the ASA guides seem to still be the main go-to.
The idea is you don't have to read their answers if you can answer the questions without it.

The best prep I did was a mock oral with a CFI who had used the same DPE several times and with another pilot who had just completed his. DPEs tend to have pet topics and scenarios.
