F-2G Super Corsair, N31518 crashed on March 19, 1994 at Williams Gateway Airport, Phoenix Arizona during the Phoenix 500 races. The Planes of Fame Air Museum in Chino has the rudder, which is about all that "survived", if you can call it that. Eldridge, as the story above shows, got hurt pretty bad getting out of the airplane.

By all accounts, the neck injury alone should have paralyzed or killed him. Upon examination, his parachute was within a hair of falling apart. Due to the speed at the time the chute opened, three panels blew out, and the bottom skirt had one-eighth of an inch of nylon left before it would have torn. At every step, it seemed Eldridge had used up every ounce of luck in the world.

Thanks for posting the link to that video Tom. I had seen photos of that bailout, but I had never seen the video.
