Bad Elf + Suction Cup Mount & Cloud Ahoy

Does anyone else use Cloud Ahoy? I bought the Bad Elf GPS Pro + and am currently just hanging it outside my flight bag in the back seat of my Cherokee to log flight data which I then later import via Bluetooth to my PC and view in cloud ahoy. So far it seems to do a great job.

But the bad elf support folks mentioned using the Suction Cup Mount for the Bad Elf GPS and mounting it to the window may provide an even more accurate detail level when loading the flight data into Cloud Ahoy.

Does anyone have any experience with the bad elf and Cloud ahoy? And/or also using the Suction Cup Mount? They want $29.95 for it, and quite frankly I am not sure if it's that big of a difference. Looking for personal experiences and/or any tips/advice!

I use cloudahoy and let it take just my cellphone’s GOS an input and have found that is good enough for recording my instrument approaches accurately enough to not need augmentation for location data.

Just trying to help poor old 787 pilots like M'lady who want a moving map on their cockpit approved iPad (they have to resort to buying an outdated BT GPS because a Part 121 certified option is apparently made of unobtanium).
