I’ve only seen the guts of a servo twice. One was clean, looked like no lubricant, the other had what looked like grease. Both STEC units. Which one was wrong?

Frankly I'm impressed that this question has gone unanswered by the peanut gallery.

I can't answer this one way or the other, but without knowing manufacturer & model number it is almost impossible to answer.

My gut? If it spins it needs oil, if it slides it needs grease.
