Asa FAR/AIM vs Ama FAR AIM App

Looking to purchase/download far aim app for my iPad. I know I can download pdf for free but I want app so I don't have to constantly download updates.

ASA's App is $9.99 and most downloaded but has low ratings.

Aviation Mobile Apps, LLC's is $8.99 has less downloads but a much higher rating.

I was inclined to go with ASA cause of recognition but I was curious if anyone here had tried AMA's.

I haven't used AMA but I have used ASA's for several years and my only gripe is that the search function is keyword rather than text. As a backup, I just use the real thing...
https://www.faa.gov/air_traffic/publications/atpubs/aim_html/ for the AIM and https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-14/chapter-I for the FAR. You have to be connected to the internet for those but that's not much of a downside.

I have the ASA one.

But the FAR/AIM app that gets the most use from me is Pilot FAR /AIM, https://apps.apple.com/us/app/pilotfar-aim/id349193960

Mainly due to the search features, drill down from the top level to specific reference, and the formatting of the text.

I don't use the Cornell site. I use the US Government site. ecfr.gov

The AIM is available from the FAA for free as a big PDF. Just drop it in iBooks or whatever you use on your tablet.
