Are Pilots Better Auto Drivers?

It might not be universal, but the majority of pilots I know are extremely cautious about driving after drinking.

Not a problem for me ... no alcohol! None, zip, zilch, nada! I have enough trouble keeping up as it is.

I don't drink even one and drive, not worth risking my ticket or having to go through all that HIMS bullscat.

I like to have a beer with friends, but only a beer (singular).

My friends call me One Mug Doug. :)

I do know that many moons ago when we were doing ultralight flight instruction that when a student arrived in a beat up, bent up, trashed out, multicolored, rust bucket that appeared to have escaped from the auto crusher ... you could usually tell what kind of a student they were gonna be. :loco:

So I noticed that nobody here is posting their lap times, time slips or pink slips...

I'd say that the guys I consider to be the best pilots are actually pretty terrible drivers. Maybe that makes me a bad pilot? :D
