Can’t seem to find any deals on tires now….any one find any deals?

Not a 172, but put new tires on a 182 a couple of months back. No deals I could find - I just had my A&P order them as he has a small discount with vendors.

If you are interested. Make me an offer.

thanks RC ..but I need 6 ply due to higher mgw of my c172. the Wilkerson website doesn't have way to buy and seems I have to call. I normally get tires from Airpower due to free shipping and good price but they were back ordered for most tires.i usually use the dresser monster retread but out of stock and cheapest I could find was over $200.

I found a website VSE AVIATION that has the monster for $153 with shipping so should be here Friday. I let some local CFIs borrow it to build time and move dogs around the country (they pay gas, which is car gas so more affordable for broke CFIs) and left tire has a bald spot likely due to locking-up break up but will change both tires and keep good one as spare. I tell them not to do touch- and- goes as some were flying it like they stole it and I grew sick of going through tires.

I'm thinking about ordering 2 new spares at this price. look up VSE AViation if looking for tires, its cheapest I could find and actually show stock on hand. also look at dessert monster retreads as they have more meat and last at least 20% longer in my experience than cheaper new models especially. even more than the way more expensive Michelin and good year.

VSE is the corp that bought Desser. I bought monsters from desser and VSE was sending me emails a year later about tax collection. Emailed back trying to figure out what they were talking about (because I purchased from desser and vse never supplied an invoice with their email requesting tax info) fell on deaf ears. I'll never buy desser ever again.

Wilkerson is a bit old school. You have to physically pick up a phone and call them. But fantastic to deal with. Multi generational family run company. Wilkerson is what Desser used to be.
