Scenario:

Commercial Student

Three leg cross country.
Leg 1, A to B, 166 NM, Solo
Leg 2, B to C, 301 NM, Dual
Leg 3, C to A, 336 NM, Solo with 2 or more stops in between.

Questions:

Will Leg 2 count for 61.129(3)(iii)?
Will Leg 3 count for 61.129(4)(i) as long as there are a couple of stops in between?

The trip would be in a Warrior, so the 2 hours in Q1 isn't a factor.

Yes.

Yes. Note that the "stops" need only be T&G's to count as "landings."

The key is that legs 2 and 3 may be viewed independently as separate flights, and Leg 1 is irrelevant. And make sure the three flights are on separate lines in the logbook so as not to confuse the examiner.

Just curious. Interesting that apparently the CFI is being picked up at B and dropped off at C. Something special?

Thanks Ron. That is what I thought I "knew", but it never hurts to confirm before I do something wrong.

LOL, Spike. No I don't. That's why I don't buy run of the mill spam cans like 172's or heaven forbid, Bonanza's. :D :D
