Into a house, which is burning; my old stomping grounds (lived inside the pattern until after high school, the first hours in my logbook are from there).
Looks like a rather tight pattern, and an overshoot on base-to-final, but ADS-B ain't perfect.

I grew up around there also. Gusty crosswinds for a PA28....

Is that kind of wind normal there? I know it's kinda pool table flat in a lot of Ohio. Around here, 30+G on the ground are pretty rare, and my limit in a PA28 is G25, but I'm an admitted baby about a lot of things.

If the diagram above is close to what really happened, then looks like base/final turn of course, but don't know if the ADSB just dropped out then.

Edited:
In a ten nm radius from the accident site there's a 500' elevation change. Winds at the airport can possibly be affected by larger buildings, such as the Goodyear Airdock.
I've landed at KAKR when the winds were 30G40, had to use the now-closed crosswind runway (unforecasted, of course). I'm now near Cincinnati, still get days of gusts 30+ down here in the spring. Usually on the day I rent a plane.
Plane owned by an LLC, the agent of which is another LLC, so trying to avoid some liability there.

maybe the adsb did drop due to wind gusts conditions.here in n.calif at my airport khaf we have strong wnds but mostly down our rnwy 30 in the afternoons but dies dwn as it gets closer to sun set

How do you manage to stall/spin a PA28 turning base? Even if the student was unaware of what was about to happen, the CFI should've caught it.

Yep. And it appears as if they may have been in the recovery pullout, but without the altitude needed. They were within 150 yards or so of some much better crash landing spots.

With wind gusts into the 30's, low level turbulence had the pilot wrestling the controls. With full flaps deployed, any quick increase in airspeed needed would be a little delayed, and applications (blasts) of power needed would be exaggerated.

If there is ever a time to use less flaps for landing, this would have been the time. Wonder how experienced this flight instructor was, and how much experience he had flying in this amount of wind?
