Any idea when they start? In years past I liked to view them to see how much work it takes to make Airventure come together. While at the show, I sometimes view, and when I get home I also view to see it all ends for another year……
 
Someone asked on the EAA Forums the other day and the guy told them they would be up when he gets to it!! Said he's been fighting weather and was tired of answering the question!
 
Looks like plenty of room…

Look at the haze! The field just went IFR….. is that smoke?
 
eww. Not looking forward to flying into that tomorrow.
 
It sounded like they just worked in a VFR. SVFR I guess? It was a white Stinson, might've been Doug Rozendaal.
 
I’m actually a bit surprised that the pilots had the wherewithal to request SVFR and that controllers knew how to issue it. Definitely a seldom used capability in my part of the would.
 
If that smoke stays around for the next 2-3 days, there’s going be a lot of changed plans for pilots…………
 
Smoke must be getting to the green dot camera. It won’t pan as far left now (used to be able to see the green shower house).

Fwiw there is no one there. I think there was two arrivals to the n40 after we got there at 11am.

Lots of planes being sent back around right now. Guess these folks don’t know what 1 or 2 miles in trail means.
 
It was around 1/2 mile yesterday. It was still 3/4 this morning. It's moved up to about 5-6 now.
