Hey Guys! I work in the aerospace industry. My job duties are: assembling aircraft parts, reading and interpreting drawings, riveting, drilling, reaming, installing hi-locks, and others. I don't have mechanic license (A,B). My duties at work are the same as in this job offer https://www.lockheedmartinjobs.com/job/-/-/694/13680703?codes=1-INDEED

Do you think this job has a future? I wonder because Airbus has automated the production of A320 aircraft. https://www.airbus.com/newsroom/pre...-a320-structure-assembly-line-in-hamburg.html

I really like my job and I don't want to lose it because of robots. Thanks guys! and sorry for my grammar.

It will be a while before major portions of aircraft assembly are taken over by robots. Look at an auto assembly line - they have been automating for a lot longer. Some jobs will go away, some jobs will change, and some jobs will be created. No job has a guarantee of being around in 30 years. All you can do is keep up with technology and be prepared to move on.

When I started in the auto industry back in the stone age, I spent much of my day working on carburetors - guess what... I adapted.

As it appears you are not based in the US the only way help keep that kind of work is to get you engineers (mechanics) license. Since you work for an aviation company perhaps they have a program to assist you depending on which country you live. Good luck.

In order for a future in the job you really like then getting a mechanics/engineers certificate/license is the best path if the Lockheed job disappears you can find another with another provider. Your certificate/license gives you more a chance.
