My last flight of 2025 was a good one. I put this poor Lancair pilot through his paces. If I did this shoot again, I'd do it from a Bonanza instead of my 182.

Not sure. I’ve been told I have it wrong, it’s an IV-P, but I don’t think a scoop would have anything to do with pressurization.
You are correct regarding a scoop having anything to do with pressurization. The scoop is either an AC or cooling radiator for alternate powerplant.
To my knowledge, there is not a means to discern a IV from an IVP looking at the exterior.
