Advice needed from those who have installed an engine analyzer

My EI CGR-30P is on the way supposedly. I was looking at spiral wire wrap, which comes in various sizes and colors. I know that there is some flexibility but which diameter would work best? Will I need more than one diameter? Also, how much do I need?

Or would the braided wrap work better. It has a higher service temperature.

I am hoping for a tidy installation . No more loose wires floating around the engine.
 
I used the plastic spiral wrap on my Lance. There’s a few places that melted a bit but mostly held up well and looks nice.
 
Cheap wire loom doesn't belong in an airplane. Tie the wires into bundles with rib lace. I use fire sleeve for areas where heat is a problem but that doesn't apply to EGT and CHT wires.

Posilock wire connectors are way better than screwing ring terminals together, too.

Posilock, never heard of them before. They look very interesting.
 
Look in the photo I posted and you can see several of the red Posilock connectors. They used to make gray ones for high heat but the red ones work great in the application you see, even in proximity to the exhaust stacks.
 
Use the EI overlap connectors, they keep the connection solid for years! Additionally, no spiral wrap or cheap wire loom, it just ends up attracting dirt and grease and if you ever need to do follow on maintenance you'll end up taking a pair of scissors to it and removing all of it.

I pretty much always use waxed tie string, but you'll find a lot of new birds have plain old zip ties. (Zip ties get brittle and break/fall off in engine compartment installations very quickly). Rib lacing cord is excellent as well...

On of my favorite tricks, if you need a quick standoff to put some distance between two adels or bolt two adels together but in different planes, just pull the rubber off another adel, flatten it out, cut it to length, drill a second hole in it, and twist it in a vice if needed. These things work fantastic.
