It's good to have more competition, but I don't see anything new here except for higher resolution synthetic vision.
Also, in one of the videos, they say the system starts at $36K for a single screen set up. How is that cheaper than Dynon?
Curious to hear from others that may have more info.

The line looks impressive and competition is always good too. It wasn’t obvious in the link how well they integrate with leading gps navigators.

How is that cheaper than Dynon?

I had a good chat with their CEO at Oshkosh this summer. It definitely isn't cheaper than Dynon, but they're planning on going the full TSO route, including some DAL A. While I'm sure they'd be happy to sell to whoever, it seemed like they're mostly targeting King Air and bigger aircraft.

Looks like someone took the rack concept from our integrated computer systems and miniaturized it and named it NEST. Isn’t there a company that created a single panel that you plugged all the avionics? Not nearly as sophisticated as this appears to be, tho.

Got it….Approach Fast Stack Hubs.

...including some DAL A.
If I'm in a situation where I need synthetic viz then it is critical to the safe outcome of the flight. If it ain't DAL A then I ain't using it for anything but an untrustworthy crosscheck. What's important to me are the failure modes, fault detection, and code/database validation. Screen resolution and price are waaaaay down my priority list...but then so is syn viz in general.

the efis segment is already crowded with over priced panels, but more options always better and may reduce cost. ... I have a non certified EFIS/ADSB/ GPS unit in my c172 that gives me synthetic vision but there's a yearly charge.. unit is about 3x5" with ports for pitot static lines and small GPS and adsbb antenna wires . if cost is an issue. you likely could install a certified 3" all in one efis than a non certified panel per norsee for a fraction of cost and id argue as reliable as certified....the G5 and dynon exp units are same except for cost.

I split my iPad screen so efis is in one side. and Foreflight on other. I think I got about $1k into it.....can see traffic and wx. I installed a fan behind the iPad and use a commercial panel mount.

you can file IFR in vmc for training in non ifr config, and I avoid flying single engines in IMC so it works for us. I signed off a friend for a proficiency check and another buddy uses it to keep current. i

maybe option worth considering.

here's photo of iPad efis
