How Many Hours You Have/Types of Airplanes You've Flown? 215. Cessna 172/152/150. Piper Warrior/Archer/Arrow (soon). Northwest DC-9/B747 Simulator in Minneapolis (very cool experience).

Future Plans (Doesn't have to be aviation related). Working on my Commercial ASEL. After i plan on getting a job doing scenic tours, photography, or other places that will hire Comm ASEL pilots to build some time while I work on my CFI rating which I'm hoping to get by my Senior Year so I can flight instruct during my last year of school. I'm also looking to get into the airlines and I'll probably end up flight instructing and building up time. After graduation I plan on getting my MBA and stay in New York.

Miscellaneous: I like to play guitar almost as much as I like to fly. I play in my church band every week. I hate tomatoes and chick peas.

Miscellaneous: Bought a Honda 750 Shadow and then learned to ride. I like to play and collect guitars. Was in Celtic rock band in 1990s. Band recorded 3 CDs. Been called a workaholic. Cannot handle liars. Soloed at 16 prior to getting DL. Received Transport Canada license close of business day before my 17th birthday. Did not fly from July 20, 1982 until January 5, 2013.

50 something, United Airlines pilot, most Cessnas, Pipers, a few Beeches, a handful of other GA planes. Boeing Airbus Jetstream Twin Otter. 24,000+ hours although there are some that would say a good chunk of those should not be counted.

I want to do the Glider thing this summer.

I play guitar also, but mainly for my own amusement.

Aviation Goals: Trying to decide if I want more ratings. Considering going all the way to CFI simply for teaching enjoyment and the pucker factor of allowing strangers to attempt to kill me on a regular basis. :) Would enjoy CFII more than teaching primary students.

Always have wanted to tow gliders, I have no idea why. Just sticks in my head as cool. Really feel it important to at least have the glider add-on for Private done, if doing that. Seen many people disappear into gliders never to return to powered. Ha. Kinda a lifestyle change. ;-) Also of course need to complete a tailwheel endorsement and get good at it, for most tow planes.

Want a multi rating, but I'd never be able to stay current, and I think not being current in a multi is a prescription for disaster. Kinda useless for me other than fun and challenge.

Think I'm going to start small this year and get an IPC done, then get a good WAAS GPS installed in the Skylane and get that all figured out. Or vice-versa. :)

Other fun: Ham Radio, Guitar (not that good and have no time for it -- always acoustic, current axe is a real Japanese Yamaha that sounds great), Music of any sort -- mostly listening these days but various types of vocal stuff in the past including jazz and choral and barbershop, as well as low brass/baritone horn), shooting (Karen and I took the nephew tonight.), reading, making fun of politics and politicians in the SZ here, and various volunteer organizations.

Also planning some travel this year, both by private airplane and by 5th wheel travel trailer, oh... and one cruise ship. ;) Don't have the vacation time, but do have the cash, so that could turn out "interesting" at work. Could turn into a "take this job and shove it" moment, if things keep going the way they are. Almost 20 years into this career and still piddly amounts of vacation time. Huge list of places I want to go to and things to see.

Agreed on tomatoes. Awful fruit that's so bad people think it's a vegetable. ;)

Definitely haven't figured out what I want to do when I grow up yet, but I know it's not another 20 years of on-call, nights and weekends, to make other people millions. :) Done enough of that. It's definitely become a hard habit to break though. Can't decide if it's worth it. Haven't had an uninterrupted normal night's sleep for a full month at a time in years. Certainly not a week without some sort of after hours maintenance or fixing things since about 1997 or so.

Does kinda fit my night-owlishness though. First overnight job was in 1993 or 1994? Done a lot of those of one sort or another.

Hate golf. Think it's the most boring thing in the world. Just don't get it.

Like driving. Not racing or esoteric stuff although those are fun. But just driving places. Doesn't bother me at all. Towing trailers for example, just makes a drive more interesting to me.

Love dogs. Need to finish getting a field fence and taller inner fence installed this Spring and get another one. Our current pup is an 81 lb German Shorthaired Pointer/Great Dane mix, Dino. He's awesome.

How Many Hours You Have/Types of Airplanes You've Flown? 80 Total hours so far, just got my certificate in August 2013. Cessna 172/152/150. Piper Cherokee 180. Hopefully someday I will move up to something faster, possibly build an RV or something.

Future Plans (Doesn't have to be aviation related). Currently my goal is to just fly as a hobby, while working on higher ratings and someday a commercial certificate. I will have to see where that leads because accounting is treating me pretty good right now. As far as future plans, I am hoping that in the future I am able to fly more and eventually own a few airplanes.

Miscellaneous: Besides being fascinated with anything that involves aviation, I like being outdoors. Hunting, fishing, hiking and road trips around the country finding things off the beaten path. My wife and I don't have any kids, so we are really trying to do as much travel as we can manage.

Occupation: I make the internet go. FAST. "amateur" investor. BBA, Summa Cum Laude, Beta Gamma Sigma. (gotta throw those bragging rights around somewhere, they're of nearly 0 value at my day job)

Hrs/types: 70TT Just got my ticket in November after a 20 year student pilot career. (with a couple long breaks for good measure) mostly 150/152/172 and 1hr of AA5A time. Also took a 10-15min turn at the controls of a Beech Sport (not logged)

Future plans: Raise kids, fly some, work my way to C-ASEL, then add classes (SES, especially) want to do charity flying (PnP, Angel Flight, etc) mostly.

Miscellaneous: Plane geek, gun geek, computer geek, car geek, motorcycle geek...you get the idea. If it involves an interesting amount of engineering, I'm geeky all over it. I fly for fun, but if I could afford to do it professionally, I would (but not for an airline, that would ruin it).

Occupation: Deputy Sheriff. Assignment: Patrol, with collateral duty as air support pilot, firearms instructor and armorer. Previously was a field training officer (six years), bailiff, short time as a detective, and peer counselor.

Hours: 615. Commercial ASEL, imstrument rating.

Types flown: Cessna singles, Piper PA-28s, Mooney M20J, 12 minutes in a Citation Bravo.

Future plans: CFI, multi, tailwheels. Go to Idaho for back country flying. Retire from the Sheriff's Office in three or four years, move out of California, work part-time flight instructing, or maybe corporate or 135. I might look into working at a police academy teaching firearms. At some point - probably after retirement - I want to move from the 172 (10-way partnership, but only about four of us actually fly) to an RV-8 with no partners. If I could find some way to make it happen, I'd fly helicopters.

Miscellaneous: I ride my Gold Wing 300+ days a year. Been working out with weights for 33 years. Competed in powerlifting for nine or 10 years, got too beat up and tired of it, and focus on fitness now. Guitar player. Former lousy golfer - quit. I couldn't afford golf and flying, and I never had a shot at being a good golfer.

Occupation? I teach physics and astronomy at a local uni.

How Many Hours You Have/Types of Airplanes You've Flown? 1000-1050ish. I have a few hours as a student in a Cherokee 140, the rest are all in Cessnas: 150/152/172/177RG/182/182RG. Currently own and fly a 177RG.

Future Plans (Doesn't have to be aviation related). I have no plans for further ratings but hope to stay instrument current and proficient. Other than that, hope to keep my job until I drop dead, since retirement isn't an option.

Miscellaneous: I lead a women's hiking group that meets every two weekends. I love cycling AND flying, and combine the two activities as often as I can. It's nice to be able to stuff a full-sized bicycle into an airplane. :)

Types: Not sure of the helicopter; Cessna and Piper and Comanche (for the MEL) and Citabria I think for the taildragger

Future Plans: Hope to use my IR that I'm currently working on to see a couple of the states around Ohio. Started it since my parents live an annoying 4.5 hour car drive away...

Misc: I dabble in Ham radio as well but haven't turned on my little radio thing on in probably 3 years. Sort of like to get my general license but want the IR first.

Future plans?? Just keep working and trying to get my kids through college, then hopefully sell our house and downsize a bit, get treaty to retire by my early 60's. Or just keep working til I croke at my desk on day.:rolleyes:

Experience: ~1250 hours. Most in my RV-6, 300 in a Tomahawk, 50 in a C-152, and a few hours in: Citabria, C-172, Taylorcraft, Chief, Stearman, Tiger Moth, Focke Wulf 149, Bonanza, Stinson, and probably a couple more random types.

Future Plans: Complete raising my 3 year old son. Keep SWMBO happy. Finish one of my Aeronca projects.

Miscellaneous: I like being outside. Hiking, flying, yard work, golf, whatever. Also, I enjoy reading and building things.

Experience 2350 hours. ATP multi have owned Cessna 172 piper arrow beech Travelair currently own and flying liberty XL 2 .have some time in a Cheyenne .

Planing a trip to Alaska, trying to see how many airports in the country I can land at. Currently doing young eagles,operation fly US . Try to fly twice a week.

Into boating ,flying, biking and the gym.

Occupation: CFI and Corperate pilot (well ok, in a 182, but it still meets the basic definition) by day and bartender by night (working on getting rid of the night job)
Hours: 700ish
Aircraft flown: C150/152/172/172RG/177RG/182/210/310, PA-28 (pretty much all of them except for the Arrow), Remos GX, DA-40, North American SNJ.

Future plans: get rid of the night job and keep building experience in the aviation world. I can see myself flying Corperate or something like 135 air ambulance, but who know's what the future has in store.
 
Early 30s.

Occupation: Airline pilot - FO at a regional. Before flying professionally I was an engineer for over a decade for a semiconductor company. I don't make the money I used to but loved to fly so much I could just not sit in a cubicle the rest of my career. No looking back!

Hours & certs: I will still consider myself "low time" for a couple more years. ATP and a couple type ratings, and the usual instructor certificates.

Airplanes: Lots of light singles, own a Mooney, a little tailwheel/acro time, and a couple of turboprops, one made by Beech (one of the the best aircraft of all time, in my opinion), and one by Embraer.

Future plans: Professional flying job with a good solid salary. I don't care what I fly, but do like variety in life so an airline with a variety of equipment, bases, and route structure would be great.

Occupation/Education: Vice President International Sales currently in the fire protection industry, previously in automotive and powersports. BS in International Business, QMED from Great Lakes Maritime, and some other random credits from abroad.

Hours: Low time in the left seat, less than 20. Quite a bit more flying with family, friends, etc. on the right.

Types: Piston singles.

Future Plans: Finish up my ppl, buy a plane, raise my daughter patiently and to the best of my ability.

Misc: Cars, boats, planes, motorcycles, atv's...anything that goes! Love the outdoors, fishing, reading, music, foreign language, history, travel, international trade, college football, golf, etc. Lived abroad for a few years, spent time in a lot of different countries.

Combustive aircraft propulsion liquid relocation specialist. (I work at a small FBO where I do all of the day to day operations.)

~300 hours. Cessnas Pipers random other stuff and more recently a super duper cub. Gotta quit dicking around and take my commercial ride because I have some fabulous opportunities waiting for me.

Future plans? Make enough money to fly on my own terms, by flying. If that makes sense. (I'm well aware I'm crazy)

Misc. I like old Volkswagens.

How Many Hours You Have/Types of Airplanes You've Flown? Hmm... 75? I just received my certificate at around 60 hours in October. I primarily fly 152's and 172's and I've been meaning to get checked out in a Warrior in a few weeks (or months–depends on when my pay checks start coming in again!).

Future Plans (Doesn't have to be aviation related): Hopefully will get hired by an accounting firm right after graduation. Then I'll study/build hours to sit for the CPA exam. After that I'll work hard and save for an airplane!

Miscellaneous: If things look good, I might be interested in joining a branch of the Armed Forces. I know it's a long shot, but a few of my professors are ex-milatary and loved every minute. Would love to serve my country!

Future plans: Continue to fly. Be a family man. Broaden my skills. Make more money.

Miscellaneous: Former French Horn player. Lived in Japan...for a month. Studying Spanish. Do a bit of self-directed stock trading (I'm in my third month and I'm about even; just practicing). I want to build a wood-fire pizza oven in my back yard. I love to cook and have an unnatural obsession with cast iron cookware. Amateur (very) auto mechanic. I drive a Toyota Corolla with 215k miles, manual transmission.

Why? Just kidding. It's a tough profession with long hours but can be fun. My undergrad was in Economics as well. Don't know what it's like in CA, but in IL you need 150 hours to take the CPA exam which means most likely for younger college students a Masters degree. Good luck in the future.

Occupation: temporary - I work in the oilpatch so every meal is a banquet and every payday is a fortune...and all jobs are temporary

Types-n-time: about 500 hrs in the Frankenkota now - The 'kota started life as a PA-28-201T in 1979 but it didn't know what was going to happen to it when I got it in 2008. The A&P named the 'kota "Franken" after the third or fourth STC'd modification. Starting to build up a bit of mountain time now - there's a reason that folks write books about flying in the mountains.

Plans: maintain my temporary employment to pay for my addictions while avoiding incarceration.

Misc: I have three degrees in Petroleum Engineering and have taught at the university level. Also spent five years digging ditches before getting my first degree. Sort of a unique background to say the least. Other than that I'm a wall flower...and a pot stirrer and general irritant to pompous fools.
 
Age: old, well not that old at 57

Occupation: Manager of the engineering Dept for a Heating and Air contractor

Have flown mostly PA28 type aircraft with just over 500 hrs. Currently own a PA28R-201, just over two years now

Plans: hoping to work on a Commercial Ticket this year, either upgrade the avionics in the Arrow or get something else with upgraded avionics.

Misc: I look for the humor in all of life and I am not afraid to make fun of myself, I usually beat most people to the punch, but not all. (Ed) (Tim) good friends I like to spar with on occasion.

Occupation: Cellar Master. I do most of the physical day to day wine making operations for a small winery (pumping, filtration, barrel work, bottling etc.), but also do a fair amount of laboratory analysis and around this time of year, a whole lot of tasting (in the professional type setting).

Hours/type: NOT ENOUGH! About 60 hrs in my fam's Cessna 150, looking forward to getting some time in our new Cherokee 140 as well.

Plans: Climb up to Assistant Winemaker, then Head Winemaker, buy a house in Northern Ca, maybe start my own label.

Misc: Spend lots of time playing music (bassist) with a local group, heading into the recording studio this weekend. Would love to get an old (late 60's) Dodge or Merc and spend Sundays wrenching on it (My grandfather has had his '32 Ford Coupe since he was 16, I'd love to follow suit).

Occupation: Recovering mechanical engineer; now practicing patent law, intellectual property law generally, aviation law.

Time/Type: 150ish; lion's share is C172, some DA-20, still less AA5B (which I really liked); been in a PA-28 once.

Plans: Get back in the air -- been economically grounded by a house purchase for about 18 mos. now; get IFR rating, use GA for family travel.

Misc.: Here's the tag line I coined when first getting into social media sites: "Papa, Patent Lawyer, Pilot, Poker Player, Piano Man".

Future Plans: Instrument (this year), Com (2-5 years), CFI/CFII (5+ years).

Misc: I love wine and love to share wine with people. Lately I've been getting into whiskey, scotch and bourbon. :wineglass:

Hours: 5000± Started in a Piper Colt (1962) switched to a C-150 to finish private, bought C-120 flew it San Diego to Boston, sold, bought C-170 to finish commercial/instrument (plus half a dozen trips to OSH), sold, bought 172, nearly 30 trips to OSH plus got CFI-airplane, engine failure and hit a bridge on final to the freeway, insurance money bought a basket case 182, completely rebuilt, a dozen trips to OSH (see avatar). Along the way picked up an A&P for work I had done putting myself through college (BS Physics, Math, Aerospace Technology, San Diego State, 1967) wrenching on L-188, B-727, B737 for PSA airline. Picked up a commercial/CFI glider in a Schweitzer 2-33. Done CFI in Cherokees, Mooneys, and Beech Staggerwing. A&P-IA on more types than I care to count (annuals and condition inspections only).

Profession: Currently professor of Mechatronics (a combination of mechanical and electronic technology) at Sierra Community College, state treasurer of the California Community Colleges, owner and founder of RST Engineering ("Kit Avionics"), and currently guest avionics editor (monthly column) for Kitplanes Magazine. Prior mayor of small Southern California town and county supervisor (you probably call them "commissioner") of Nevada County CA.

Miscellaneous: Met Burt Rutan at OSH '78 and started a long-term relationship with antennas in the winglets of the Vari-Ez and progressed up to and including antennas, engine instrumentation, and fuel tank timers for Voyager (ask me about VIOLET TITTIES sometime). First job out of college ('67) was in the microwave lab at Teledyne Ryan where we were doing the landing radar for Apollo.

In February 2012 a mutual friend sent me the email address of a lady in Kansas City that I steady-dated for four years of high school/college in San Diego (1958-62). In February 2013 I married that lady and brought her back to California, where we live with her three cats, my two cats, and a dog. Trying to get her interested in amateur radio without much success, but she just got the job of music director at our local parish church.

Future Plans: Hell, I don't know. I'm getting the urge to write books of all sorts, especially since there aren't any decent Mechatronics textbooks. I've had two cookbooks in various stages of completion for twenty years ("Kitchen Survival For The Suddenly Single" and "Boy Cooking" ... the latter of how to use dirty pans, sloppy measurements and come up with really tasty meat'n'taters sort of meals.) Gonna keep playing softball until I start hobbling between the bases.

Age: 39 and holding! :) birthday in 2 months

Occupation: Domestic goddess. Fine housewife...unemployed

Hours: 400. ASEL;0.5 in rotor; 0.8ME; 2 or so in a taildragger

Types: Not sure of the helicopter; Cessna and Piper and Comanche (for the MEL) and Citabria I think for the taildragger

Future Plans: Hope to use my IR that I'm currently working on to see a couple of the states around Ohio. Started it since my parents live an annoying 4.5 hour car drive away...

Misc: I dabble in Ham radio as well but haven't turned on my little radio thing on in probably 3 years. Sort of like to get my general license but want the IR first.

Types: PA-28, 32, 34. Tiny bit in Bonanza and Baron.

Future Plans: Recently find myself without an airplane and am looking for a twin. Hoping to spend less time with the airlines and more time flying myself. My kids are 11, 9, 7, 5, and 3 and want to make some amends for all the travel and away time of the last few years.

Misc: Enjoy coin collecting, classic muscle cars, road racing corvettes, golf, and cooking. I dabble in wine, guns, and scotch. Have been getting in better shape and am currently training to do my first triathlon.

Future plans: Finish commercial, knock out CP-AMEL and see about right seating for the part 91 trips in our G200
