They're actually Eskimo aircraft giving each other eskimo type kisses.

Looks like the 182 "caught" the sabreliner fair and square. It's too small to have to throw back. I think you guys should rightfully be able to keep it:D

Real bummer for the club. Any eta on the 182 returing to service?

None yet. The salvage company did go and remove her wings and bring her back to CHA. The shop is now doing an extensive repair estimate.

At least now we know we can use a 182 for a jackstand if we ever need to change the nose wheel on a Saberliner.

That's impressive that the 182 could actually be holding that jet up in the air. Be very interesting to hear what your mechanic thinks will have to be done.

bob IIRC, the saberliner was not tied down and blown across the ramp by strong winds.

That truly is a sad couple of photo's.

Hope it gets back in the air soon.

Did your club get a temporary replacement courtesy of the jet's insurance? You sure are entitled to one IMO.

Our lawyer is pursuing both the FBO and jet owners, but that will take time. The club board investigated renting an aircraft to put on line while 2CF is down, but the resultant hourly to make that work was in the $160-170/hr range, and most of the membership would not be interested in flying a plane at those rates.

So, right now 48 guys fight for 2 planes, and we still have to pay the note on 2CF while it generates no income. Ugh.

Give me another good year, and it will be time
