8 dead; Police Helo Shot Down

Yeah: I waited until this morning to snow-blow the driveway of the 01/18 snow. By the time I got to the outer end there was 2-3" of new cover on the previous section. It's been
snowing lightly since then(noon), but "lightly" eventually accumulates to HOLY ****! I postponed skiing at Lost Valley(Auburn) today; possibly tomorrow, to take advantage of the Friends Day - "Bring a friend; buy one all-day ticket -- the friend skis FREE".

HR(one momentary power outage earlier; just enough to instigate a reboot)

EDIT: And how about Massachusetts? The first Republican U. S. Senator since
(I think) Edward Brooke. Coakley thought she had it in the bag.

That dates back a bit. I had his daughter in my English class the semester I spent in the Boston area (winter/spring 1969). Nice girl.
