my 345 is too bright at night.
Is the “ backlight” on the menu the place to go?
Setting the option Offset anywhere between 0 & 99 has no effect.
Maybe it needs connection to other panel light ‘rheostats’ (currently they do not affect this radio’s lighting)

Is it in manual mode? Or is it in photocell mode?

Waitaminute, I’m the one askin’ the questions here, lol!
Honestly, I have no clue.
I have not seen such options, scrolling through the basic or obvious functions.
It’s barely a year old, I didn’t see a manual with it.

Try turning it off and then pressing and holding the enter button while turning it back on. If that doesn't work, try pressing and holding other buttons while turning it on.

I have nearly the same problem, except I can't get it to stay at the proper backlight and offset settings. Requires re-entering them each time -- usually when it's dark and I realize the GTX 345 isn't lighting up in the panel. It seems the unit will not remember the changes and always defaults back to the zero backlight setting.
