No for me. We flew down to St Augustine this past weekend. May do another Angel Flight in a couple of weeks. Gotta get some stuff done around the home.

Hopefully you guys get clear skies so everyone can go.

Looks like Friday will be the best day to go from Florida into the Carolinas, so I'm hoping to make it...
Can you camp under the wing at Wilgrove?

I don't know if anyone ever has or if the mgr would allow it (I honestly don't know), but I do know right now it's forecasted to be about 25 over Friday nite
the other thing I'd look out for, if they even let u camp there, are fire ants. they are everywhere, gotta be real careful.

Well, looks like I'm not going to make it. I'm having too much fun in trapped by a cold front in South Florida (Everglades City).

Will be heading north over the weekend, but too slow.

me. maybe you. looks like @kc4wsd and his kid are coming. @TRocket …..that's right, a once in a lifetime cameo by PoA's own TRocket.

for anyone else flying in, be on your A game, there's towers to look out for, lots of traffic on a nice Saturday afternoon, and then you have to try and land there...…..

@eman1200 and others, Austin is flying Cedar Rapids - Chicago - Richmond - Newark today. He's scheduled to non-rev back to GSO tonight, leaving Newark at 8:20P. We have the '172 reserved until 3P, so if the weather cooperates on him, we'll see y'all tomorrow.

I'm a go at this point. I won't be able to stay long, I have to be back tomorrow, Should be there around 11am-ish.

5 and a half hours of flying to be there an hour? Good thing I like to fly.

I’m out. I scheduled the plane wrong and for some reason missed that my end time was 10:30 AM, and people scheduled after me.

there isn't much of anything left lol. just a picnic table mostly. which is in front of the 'FBOish' type place. there is ample parking on the other side of the runway from the fbo building, just depends on how wet it is. so r u coming?

I don't know. I asked someone based there and he didn't know either lol. I was there a week ago and they WERE operational. I checked notams and no mention of fuel or lack of. KAFP is close by at $4.19 and EQY is much closer at $4.70.

I'm just hoping for winds out of the north. Landing to the south looks.....sporty.

Landing north isn’t too bad. Never done it the other way. Taking off north in a 150, with an overweight CFI, in the middle of summer is not something I ever wanted to do after the first attempt. Those trees at the end of 35 came up a lot quicker than expected lol.

I see the tic-marks on the sectional, but knowing that this place is going out of business, is it reasonable to expect they have fuel?

And what's the plan for food?

They had fuel last week, that’s all I know. Supplied a few other local options with prices above.

I’m bringing 3 pies, will decide if we need more later tonight. If it turns out we need a LOT more, we can order more and have it delivered.

I don't know if I can justify the expense of flying all the way in from JQF...but could probably spring for enough gas to drive over ;)
