Very impressive!

Man, I gotta - someday - get my glider ticket.
 
My daughter didn't see the significance, so I found a picture of a 1-26 for her.

She still didn't see the significance, so I pointed out that there was no engine on it. ;)
 
I imagine he could use a bottle to pee, but how to er, um, ... He went though all that to get to Wilkes-Barre?
 
I was proud of myself for spending two hours in a 126. Eleven hours, even without the distance, would be an accomplishment. Amazing.
 
Having a number of hours in a 1-26; NONE of them cross country; I am truly amazed. One doesn't need much time in one of these to realize immediately why Schweitzer had to exit the glider manufacturing business.

They are fun machines, but not exactly the paragon of comfort or performance...
